The Project of the permanent exhibition of the 18 th Century Neapolitan Crib was envisioned by its donor and prepared over a space of 3 years. After a full scale initiative of restoration, mounting, cataloguing and architectural layout the Crib was inaugurated in December 2025.

Bringing history to life is never a simple task—but when passion meets patience, something truly remarkable can emerge. The permanent exhibition of the 18th-century Neapolitan Crib is a perfect example of this journey. Envisioned by its generous donor, the project took shape over three years of dedicated effort, careful planning, and artistic sensitivity.

From the very beginning, the goal was not only to preserve the crib but to present it in a way that honors its cultural and historical richness. This meant undertaking a full-scale initiative: meticulous restoration to revive delicate details, precise mounting to ensure stability and visibility, thorough cataloguing to document each element, and thoughtful architectural design to create a meaningful visitor experience.

Every step required collaboration between experts, blending craftsmanship with scholarship. The result is more than an exhibition—it is an immersive window into 18th-century Neapolitan tradition.

In December 2025, the project reached its milestone with an official inauguration, marking the culmination of years of dedication. Today, visitors can experience a masterpiece that has been carefully preserved and beautifully reimagined, ensuring its story continues to inspire for generations to come.
